Advertisement for the Post of Research Assistant

*  MPhil/PhD are desirable qualifications; # extendable up to Rs 25000/- subject to selection committee recommendation

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Public Finance Data Analyst to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and updating the Indian Public Finance datasets and providing data-driven insights and highlights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret public finance data from various sources.
• Manage, update and maintain the Indian Public Finance dataset, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Create and update the database, including the development of data models and dashboards.
• Conduct statistical analyses and provide data-driven write-ups to support decision-making.
• Communicate results and insights through written reports and presentations.

Job Requirements

• Familiarity with databases on India’s public finance like State Budgets, RBI, MOSPI, GST statistics, CAG publications etc.
• Proven expertise in working with large datasets and data analytical skills
• Expertise in MS-office and working knowledge of STATA/R or other statistical software.
• Excellent writing and communication skills (report writing skills)

Note: TA/DA (Second class train fare/ actual bus fare by shortest route) will be paid to the short-listed candidates for attending the interview.
