FACULTY RECRUITMENT

Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation (GIFT) is engaged in teaching, training, research, and consultancy along with a Ph.D. Programme. GIFT invites applications for the posts of Professor (Public Economics - one post), Associate Professor (Public Economics - one post) and Assistant Professors [Three posts: Public Economics - 2 Posts (one reserved as per norms) and Taxation Law - 1 post].

Pay scales for the faculty positions are based on the 7^th UGC pay scale adopted by Government of Kerala.

 

Eligibility criteria for faculty positions

Professor: The candidate should be a scholar of eminence with PhD and a minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience as Assistant/Associate professor in universities/colleges/nationally reputed institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates along with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer reviewed or UGC listed journals.

Age limit  55 years as on 01.03. 2020

 

Associate Professor: Ph.D. with a minimum eight years of teaching/ research experience in a University/College/Institutes of national repute, excluding the period of doctoral research and at least seven publications in UGC approved journals.

Age limit 50 years as on 01.03. 2020

 

Assistant Professors:  Ph. D in the relevant field with at least 55% marks at the postgraduate level (50% for the reserved category) with NET clearance as per UGC norms and at least two publications in UGC approved journals. Those who have submitted thesis for final evaluation may also apply.

Age limit: 40 years as on 01.03. 2020 (5 years relaxation for reserved categories)

The selection committee reserves the right to re-notify if the applications are not found suitable for the post(s).
